This is some next level humidity up in here. 70%! Seven zero!
Surprisingly, the Bangkok I’ve seen on this trip looks very little like The Hangover 2.
I <3 these vintage postcards of New York. I may go on a mini-spree in this Etsy shop. [via MUG]

The best thing about this movie is the characters are not black and white. The movie is shown through the eyes of a delinquent teenage girl named Mia. Michael Fassbender is brilliant as the charming boyfriend Mia’s neglectful Mother brings home one day. He shows Mia a kindness she has never received before and she struggles to understand it. There’s a voyeuristic quality as nothing feels rehearsed and the film doesn’t judge the characters for their actions.
If you are not yet on the Michael Fassbender is a genius and completely hot bandwagon, this movie will convert you. It is streaming on Netflix, so no excuses. You’ll thank me later.

Very little happens in Brooklyn Heights. During Truman Capote’s years here, his friends would enquire, “But what do you do over there?” It was a fair question—and an eternal one. Mine wonder the same thing. One pleasure of America’s first suburb is that it is, to an extent unusual in an ever-churning city, impervious to change—economically, structurally, but also in a more fundamental sense: The question, Did anything happen in the Heights today? can almost always be answered with Not much. — from A History of Murder, Suicide and Mayhem in Brooklyn Heights on The Awl
Cute Girl outfit from last week. Behind the scenes fact: it was much too hot out when we took the picture for me to be wearing that jacket but the outfit worked better with it on. I’m wearing a H&M jacket, Madison Marcus blouse, J.Brand pants (so comfy!), J. Crew necklace and Barneys Co-Op shoes (70 percent off!).
I know I’m late to this party but I recently downloaded Tina Fey’s Bossypants on audiobook. Tonight I was listening to it at the gym and with all of my giggling I nearly caused a nasty free weight accident. That would not have been funny. The whole book is good stuff and the audio version is worth a download to hear Tina’s words read by Tina. She does a terrible Sylvester Stallone impression.
