Wandered into the Union Square Best Buy this afternoon to see if there were any cheap DVDs for sale. I saw the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle and remembered that the copy I had at home was a VHS but I no longer have a VHS player. Clearly, this was an unacceptable situation. So for $20, the digitally remastered 2 disc set was mine. On the way home, a girl on the subway saw it poking out of my purse and started gushing about how much she loves this miniseries. She wondered if I had never seen it before. Honey, please—I can practically quote whole passages!
