McCarren Pool in Greenpoint, Brooklyn
That’s a lot of water for the Williamsburgers to float around in once the renovations finish.
Democracy at Work and My Part in It
Today I had to attend jury duty at the Brooklyn Supreme Court. On my first summons, I postponed because my grandmother had just passed away and I was going to be out of town. The second summons I just ignored because I was slammed at work. I felt like there was no getting around it this time, despite a hellish week at work, so here I am. On a top floor at 320 Jay St. (beautiful view by the way). The case is obviously important to those involved but it’s hard for me to feel much more than bored and a touch annoyed to be spending my time sitting here. Also, the wifi is spotty so I have that white person complaint.
